Note about snacks on Friday

Parents, we are asking for your help! Some of our students are not coming to school with a snack on Fridays. We discussed as a class today that students should be talking with you about how they can remember to bring a snack on Friday just like every other day. Thank you for your help with this! Kindness Assembly tomorrow

Our school has a special guest joining us tomorrow for our Kindness Assembly - Mayor Nenshi. Parents are invited. The Assembly begins at 10:30 am. Please wear purple if you have it! 

Field Trip Wednesday!

Our field trip is a couple days away! We are excited.
There are some students who have not returned their field trip forms yet - they will need to be signed and returned to school by tomorrow please. We will not be able to bring students who do not have their forms completed. 

Students will need to have a lunch packed for the day and a water bottle if you they have one. We will be walking outside for a bit so please be dressed for the weather. 

Please also have your child bring their $8.00 payment for this trip by this Wednesday. It can be in cash or you can pay with debit at the office.

Thank you for your help with these two things.

Friday Journals and Field trip Forms

Friday Journals are coming home today! Please ask your child to share this with you and talk about some positive things you saw in their letter. Please send the journal home as soon as possible so that they are at school when we need them next.

Our field trip to Arts Commons and the Central Library is next Wed. Feb, 26 - please ensure that you have signed your child's form before that day. We will not be able to take students on the trip if they do not have their forms signed. The fee of $8.00 can be payed with cash or by debit at the school. Cheques are no longer accepted.

Paying for Yearbooks

“How to pay for a Yearbook online”

Because the yearbook is an optional fee, the fee does not automatically appear in your MYCBE/PowerSchool account. 

You will find the fee under the Goods/Services tab, click on the tab and you will see two optional fees

Noon Supervision Drop In

Yearbook

Click on the fee you want, hit ok, the fee will then appear in your school fees, for online payment.

If you have any issues with this, please call the office we can attach the optional fees.

Friday Journals

Please return Friday Journals to school after the long weekend - we will be writing in them next week. Thank you!

Field Trip Forms

Field Trip forms went home today. Please keep the letter on the front for your records and return the signed forms as soon as possible. Thank you!

Valentines

We will be passing out Valentines notes tomorrow during snack time. If your child wishes to bring those, a list of first names was sent home today. Children DO NOT need to bring Valentine cards to school.

Next Week

Next week will be a short week for students.
Teacher's Convention is Thursday Feb.13 and Friday Feb. 14, so there will be no school for students. 
Family Day is Monday Feb. 17, so there will be no school that day.
School resumes Tuesday Feb.18

Please continue bringing materials to build instruments with - we haven't started building yet so we are still collecting household items.
