Yearbook Order Extension

Parents & Guardians Thank you for sending photo's of your child/ren doing their at home online learning :) This is just to remind parents that if you haven't yet ordered a yearbook, and wish to do so, the deadline has been extended to Friday 24th April. This is the latest date for orders, as the orders must be then submitted to Lifetouch ready for the printing of the yearbook. If you wish to order, please go to your MYCBE/PowerSchool account via this link.

https://cbe.ab.ca/support/Pages/MyCBE-PowerSchool-Student-Fees-Registration.aspx

As this fee is an optional fee, it has to be selected for it to be added to your account, you will find the fee under the Goods/Services tab. Once you click the check box, the fee will then go into your account where you can make the payment. Yearbooks must be paid for before the school places the order with Lifetouch. Please note that any order with outstanding fee after the 24th April will be removed. If you have any problems finding or attaching the yearbook fee, please email me directly (catunney@cbe.ab.ca) and I can attach the fee to your MYCBE/PowerSchool account so that you can make the necessary payment.

New Message

Dear Grade 2 and Grade 3 Families,

We hope this message finds you healthy and safe at home.
We are thinking of you and your learning and hope you stay well over Spring Break.

We will have more information about what online learning will look like after Spring Break.
In the meantime, CBE has created some learning resources you can access over the break.
You can find those resources here:
https://cbe.ab.ca/programs/curriculum/learning-at-home/Pages/default.aspx

This year we have been using Epic! to support student learning by giving students access
to thousands of high-quality fiction and nonfiction books.
Epic! Is offering remote access to families, for FREE,  through the end of the school year
(June 30th).  You will receive an email, from your child’s teacher, inviting you to join.
These books will be available to your child during regular school hours each day.

Please take spring break to spend time with your families, relax, and most importantly, take care of one another.

Bridlewood School Updates-Picking Up of Personal Belongings

Dear Families,
Good afternoon! We hope that this letter finds you well. Thank you to those families who have reached out to teachers and staff with messages of kindness. We are thinking of all of our students and families and will be in touch with further information as it becomes available. Please continue to monitor your emails.
This afternoon, we would like to let you know about Bridlewood School’s plans for picking up personal belongings. At this time, we are planning to provide families with an opportunity to pick up any personal items after our regularly scheduled March Break (March 23 to March 29). After the break, further communication will be sent to all families about how pick up will proceed. Personal belongings include indoor shoes, water bottles, or items brought from home. All other items such as student supplies and materials such as workbooks, folders, etc. will remain at school.
We will send out instructions, times and dates for this pick up so that we can continue to follow the strict health and safety guidelines that have been put into place from Alberta Health Services and the World Health Organization.
Should you have an emergent need to pick up any belongings prior to the spring break, please contact the school via email:  bridlewood@cbe.ab.ca
Thank you for your understanding in this uncertain time. As we wrote at the beginning of this email, we are thinking about you and your families, and know that we will be in touch with you soon.
Sincerely,

Bridlewood School

IMPORTANT PARENT INFORMATION

Dear Parents & Guardians
Based on the changing provincial and local response to COVID-19, the CBE has given us direction to postpone:
  • Evergreen Theater Performance:  Friday, March 13 @ 10:15 am. CANCELLED
  • Student-Led Conferences:  Thursday, March 19th & Friday, March 20th CANCELLED, booking system will not open.
  • We will still be having the Scholastic book Fair, due to the directive parents will NOT able to attend, as conferences are cancelled.

All CBE schools have been given direction to postpone or cancel events that include populations from other schools and/or parents or other community members, such as Parent-Teacher Interviews, celebrations of learning, drama/musical performances, dances, athletic competitions, etc. This decision is effective from Mar. 12 until the end of March break. This decision will be revisited during March break to determine whether events should be rescheduled.
Events outside of school hours that include the regular student and staff population of the school (school clubs, practices, etc) and scheduled field trips may continue at this time.
I know this may be disappointing news. Students and staff have spent a significant amount of time preparing for these events, but the health of our community is our priority.
For the most up to date information about the CBE’s approach to COVID-19 and the actions we are taking, please visit our website. Answers to frequently asked questions will continue to be posted as information becomes available.
Thank you,
Erin

What you need to create a Parent / Legal Guardian Account

You will be asked to enter your name and email address, along with choosing a username and password that you will use to sign in. The email address and username must be unique and cannot be the same as any other parent who has created an account with the Calgary Board of Education. The name must match the name of a parent / legal guardian on file with the school. The email address must match the email address of this parent’s / legal guardian’s email address on file with the school.
At this time, you will be required to add one child to your parent account, but you can add up to 7 children now. More children can be added after your account is created.
For each child, you will need their CBE Student ID and secure Access Key.
The CBE Student ID can be found:
  • on your child's report card beside their name
  • on your child's student ID card
  • if neither of these are available, you may need to ask your child for the number or visit your school in person (CBE cannot give out this number over the phone)
  • if your child’s CBE Student ID number begins with 0, you must enter the number 1 in front of it in the required field.

Do you need an Access Key for your child?

Do you already have an Access Key to create your Parent Account?
